Holiday Hit And Run On Massachusetts Bridge Kills Minivan Driver. Police Ask For Public’s Help To ID Suspect
July 5, 2013

This past Fourth of July holiday weekend turned fatal when a hit and run motor vehicle accident at the base of the Sagamore Bridge in Sagamore, Massachusetts killed an Israeli tourist, who was traveling in a minivan with four other people, on July 5, 2013.
The 44 year-old Israeli man was visiting the United States with his twelve year-old son, who was in the minivan at the time of the auto crash. A collision between two pick-up trucks on the other side of the bridge caused one of the pickup trucks to travel into the opposite lane and hit the minivan. The other pick-up truck fled the scene without being identified. The victims in the mini-van and the driver of the pick-up truck that remained at the scene were all transported to local hospital emergency rooms to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.
The Massachusetts State Police have posted a request for public assistance on Facebook. It reads: “Police are seeking information on a dark colored pickup truck that fled the scene. We do not have a make or model as of yet on the vehicle but are looking for a dark colored pickup with damage to its left front or left side.” It is unclear whether anyone in the pickup truck that fled the scene was injured in this tragic motor vehicle accident.
